SHADOW Series Climbing Stick Instructional Documents and Videos
SHADOW Series Climbing Stick Instructions:
Connecting/stacking multiple Shadow sticks together:
1. Fold both OverCam standoff brackets downward into their stow position (i.e. flat against and in line with the stick post).
2. Align the 2 rubber Snub Plugs, located on the front of one Shadow stick, into the 2 corresponding receiving holes located in the back of another Shadow stick.
3. Squeeze the sticks together such that both Snub Plugs are inserted into the holes for a snug connection.
Separating connected/stacked Shadow sticks:
1. Simply pull the sticks in opposing directions to separate.
Installing a Shadow stick onto a tree:
Note: The bolt securing each OverCam standoff bracket should be snug such that the bracket requires physical effort to fold up and down. The OverCam brackets should not move freely.
1. Attach the 1/8” x 8’ Amsteel attachment rope to right or left hole of Versa Loop n’ Lock attachment bracket located on front of climbing stick (see separate instructions).
2. Prior to attaching Shadow stick to tree, raise/deploy both OverCam standoff brackets upwards from stowed position until brackets meet and stop at circular stop plates on back of climbing stick. Be careful not to pinch your finger or hand between OverCam bracket and stick post.
3. Place brackets against tree with front of Shadow stick facing away from tree. Properly align OverCam brackets against tree by ensuring both sides of each bracket’s V-shaped teeth area are touching tree.
4. Extend attachment rope around tree, and attach rope to Versa Loop n’ Lock bracket per prescribed manner (see separate instructions).
5. While pulling slightly outward on bottom of Shadow stick, push down on top step or pull down on stick post to properly “seat” stick onto tree.
6. Ensure Shadow stick is stable and secured tightly on tree prior to climbing onto stick.
